BAY AREA AMBASSADOR
FOR CHANGE LEADER
Kaitlyn's ultimate goal is to pursue a career in engineering and change the world with her inventions, inspiring others to believe in their dreams. Though she has limited experience in soccer, she was drawn to GSW as an opportunity to find her voice and inspire those around her. Naturally introverted, she's eager to step outside her comfort zone through this program and develop as an individual and a leader. Kaitlyn aims to create a lasting impact through the program and beyond, empowering people worldwide to pursue their goals, even when facing seemingly impossible circumstances.
In her spare time, Kaitlyn enjoys going for bike rides, hiking, watching space and wildlife documentaries, and spending time with her family. She is also an arts and crafts enthusiast, particularly engaging with projects that challenge her to imagine and create. Kaitlyn feels most fulfilled when pushing the boundaries of her thinking to develop innovative solutions.
Kaitlyn is extremely passionate about education. Pursuing her engineering dreams, she joined the "Early College" program near the end of her 8th grade year, enabling her to take college courses alongside her high school curriculum. Although this program doesn’t always prove easy, Kaitlyn enjoys the challenge and gives 100% commitment in everything she does. Through this program, she'll graduate high school with an associate's degree, positioning her ahead on the path toward a master's in Mechanical Engineering.
At her core, Kaitlyn values connection and dedication. She interns at the Animal Rescue of Tracy (ART), originally joining in search of community service hours, but it quickly became much more than that. She discovered her “soft spot” for animals and a deep connection to her community. She went from being a volunteer to becoming an intern, showing up every Saturday and dedicating herself to ensuring that the animals find their forever homes.
"I value creative perspectives and embrace opportunities for change." -Kaitlyn
