"My name is Katie and I have been an Ambassador for 3 years. I am passionate about creating strong female role models that will lead the future and GSWW has given me the platform to do so, in our Bay Area community and in other countries. Though it may not be immediately apparent there are underserved communities in our area and they need our support and is the reason why we have created the Grassroots Program. We teach young girls about confidence and how become leaders in their own ways. However, as I am mentoring these girls I am the one who walks away with those skills.
While being an Ambassador I have also learned how to work well with my peers to create positive, creative, and informative presentations for young girls and businesses alike. Through all the years of working with GSWW I have learned to look deep into myself and figure out who I am as a leader, plan for future events while working as a team, and have the confidence ask for what i need and put myself out there for possible business partnerships.
As Pamela once said to me, 90% of life happens when we show up, and I cannot express into words how happy and grateful I am to have joined the Ambassador Program and show up. The remarkable women that come out of the Ambassador Program are trained leaders ready to lead the future. "

My name is Isabel Liu and I have been an ambassador for GSWW for over two years. In the time I have been a part of this program, I have experienced the highs and lows of personal growth and societal influence. I have learned more things about myself and our community in these past two years than I ever could have imagined. This program offered an opportunity to develop as an individual and give back to communities of the less fortunate. Our Grassroots program has helped me connect with young girls that deserve the same opportunities I have. Every Friday, I am able to play soccer and teach them about confidence and self love. I have learned how to be a compassionate leader and role model and seeing the girls smile is a reward in itself.
I also had the privilege of traveling to Paraguay to make an impact on the people of Coronel Bogado. I immersed myself in the community and made personal connections with our sister ambassadors and workshop attendees. Although challenged with the language barrier, being present with young boys and girls who love to play soccer was anything but mundane. I was able to gain a new perspective on how socioeconomic status truly affects your goals and opportunities. I saw how the place you are born is reflected in your wants and needs. Having the ability to see your impact on individuals is a truly special experience that GSWW opens the doors to.

Being an Ambassador I have been able to help out in my community through my passion for soccer to motivate & empower other girls. It have been able to meet inspiring people, learn and define who I am, strengthen my leadership skills, and grow as an individual.
It also fills my heart knowing I have been able to make a positive impact on the lives of young girls. We organize and lead in-person workshops where girls could learn about important life skills that will help them grow as strong students and female leaders in their communities. Seeing these girls smile and gain more self-confidence is priceless!

Joining the leadership program this year allowed me to focus on strengthening my communicative, leadership, and collaborative skills. I was able to gain ample experience with public speaking in a safe and supportive environment, which allowed me to become confident in using my voice.
Additional benefits of the program, such as the guest speakers, provided valuable information ranging from interviewing/resume tips to personal finance, which I have found to be extremely insightful.

As parents of teenage girls, we strive for them to succeed academically and be empowered to handle difficult situations. GSWW has supplemented, reinforced, and instilled in our girls these valuable character traits. GSW has created a curriculum that provides the tools and language for our girls to gain self-confidence and believe in themselves.
They come home invigorated, ready to tackle the next challenge at hand. Our girls have also gained awareness of others and the goal of empowering all girls to reach their full potential is ingrained...all life lessons that live with them beyond exposure to GSW.

Being a part of GSWW has been
an eye opening experience.
This experience has allowed me to live outside of myself and invest time in helping and setting an example for young girls in need of strong female mentors. It has shown me the importance of service and helping our younger generations navigate their own lives with confidence and a positive mind-set. The curriculum and hands-on Grassroots program has taught me how to overcome my personal fears and lead others without hesitation.
I have learned how to guide younger girls through their own obstacles and use their voice in developing their own style of leadership. It has made us all stronger. While we are individuals, we are also one team in a safe and unified community. My strong relationships with the girls have inspired me to continue to look for other ways to serve, and appreciate all the blessings in my life.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to have my daughter participate in GSW. As a student athlete she is disciplined in her approach to her various responsibilities. However, what I have found to be critical in her personal growth is cultivating leadership skills off the field that help to find her purpose and the power of her voice.
GSW has been an instrumental part of her personal development by providing frameworks, activities, group seminars and social outreach designed to cultivate future leaders. The Ambassador program is the gold standard in our experience!

This is my very first year as a GSW ambassador. There are many things about this program that keep me motivated to stay passionate about our cause, but my personal favorite would have to be interacting with young women on a weekly basis and getting to understand their story and their background.
I am also heavily interested in photography, and this program allows me to photograph my favorite moments throughout our workshops, and the happiness that we are able to cultivate. Some key skills that I have learned include public speaking, and an increased level of leadership. At times, I am forced out of my comfort zone, and through becoming an ambassador I’ve learned to deal with situations that can be uncomfortable. This program means so much to me, but more importantly, it means so much to the young women that participate across the Bay Area and beyond. Along with me and my fellow ambassadors, it is our goal to spread female empowerment and happiness through our workshops.

During our daughter's participation in the Girls Soccer Worldwide™ Ambassador for Change Leadership Program, we were able to see her develop stronger leadership and communication skills.
We have also seen an increase her confidence and empathy towards others. She has enjoyed the Bay Area Grassroots Program, helping young girls living in underprivileged areas gain confidence, leadership skills, and have fun through group activities. She has bonded with these young girls and we feel strongly that this program can make a difference in their futures.

GSWW has a been a wonderful organization for my daughter to be a part of. Through GSW my daughter has gained valuable leadership skills and confidence which I know will carry over to other aspects of her life in the future.
She’s also gained a worldview perspective on some of the trials and tribulations young girls face and ways to empower those young girls to live a fuller life. To put it plainly, the givers (our GSWW girls) end up being the receivers of some of life’s most valuable gifts life has to offer.
