Becoming an Ambassador is just the beginning. Those who continue step into a greater leadership role, using their voices and skills to create even greater change.
High school age female student athletes begin their leadership journey by gaining hands-on experience in advocacy, service, and mentorship. Through self reflective leadership workshops, community outreach, and global awareness projects, Ambassadors develop a stronger understanding of WHO they are as leaders, building on the confidence and courage needed to encourage others to do the same. They become the ‘one’ in our change one change thousands movement creating a ripple effect of impact.

For those who want to take their leadership to the next level, the Trailblazer Program offers an extended opportunity in college. As Trailblazers, participants deepen their advocacy, take on greater responsibility in fundraising and awareness efforts, and work on projects aligned with their personal studies and career goals. This next-level experience allows them to continue driving change while growing their leadership skills in real-world applications.

YEAR 1
THE LEADER WITHIN
In this girls empowering girls movement, you will work with other Ambassadors to co-develop and co-facilitate GRASSROOTS workshops for girls, ages 6-13, living in underserved communities. We create a space for attendees to learn soccer skills and engage in positive conversations that guide them in becoming strong leaders themselves. You become the mentor in this learn while you teach experience throughout the year.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
The path to creating change starts with us giving ourselves permission to tell our story and to believe our voice has value. Our year end project is where your passion, your voice, & your gifts align. This self-discovery public speaking experience, is the perfect way to bring the Ambassador season to a close and elevate your voice with those around you.

Our program is centered around the Art of Self Leadership. In our monthly workshops, we create a safe environment to engage in conversations that matter focusing on the 4 C's needed to lead: Confidence. Courage. Character. Compassion. From self-awareness, self-discipline, self-discovery, several public speaking experiences and out of the box team building skills, all workshops are created with the Female Student Athlete in mind.

"My name is Katie and I have been an Ambassador for 3 years. I am passionate about creating strong female role models that will lead the future and GSWW has given me the platform to do so, in our Bay Area community and in other countries. Though it may not be immediately apparent there are underserved communities in our area and they need our support and is the reason why we have created the Grassroots Program. We teach young girls about confidence and how become leaders in their own ways. However, as I am mentoring these girls I am the one who walks away with those skills.
While being an Ambassador I have also learned how to work well with my peers to create positive, creative, and informative presentations for young girls and businesses alike. Through all the years of working with GSWW I have learned to look deep into myself and figure out who I am as a leader, plan for future events while working as a team, and have the confidence ask for what i need and put myself out there for possible business partnerships.
As Pamela once said to me, 90% of life happens when we show up, and I cannot express into words how happy and grateful I am to have joined the Ambassador Program and show up. The remarkable women that come out of the Ambassador Program are trained leaders ready to lead the future. "

"I have learned how to be a compassionate leader and role model ."
My name is Isabel Liu and I have been an ambassador for GSWW for over two years. In the time I have been a part of this program, I have experienced the highs and lows of personal growth and societal influence. I have learned more things about myself and our community in these past two years than I ever could have imagined. This program offered an opportunity to develop as an individual and give back to communities of the less fortunate. Our Grassroots program has helped me connect with young girls that deserve the same opportunities I have. Every Friday, I am able to play soccer and teach them about confidence and self love. I have learned how to be a compassionate leader and role model and seeing the girls smile is a reward in itself.
I also had the privilege of traveling to Paraguay to make an impact on the people of Coronel Bogado. I immersed myself in the community and made personal connections with our sister ambassadors and workshop attendees. Although challenged with the language barrier, being present with young boys and girls who love to play soccer was anything but mundane. I was able to gain a new perspective on how socioeconomic status truly affects your goals and opportunities. I saw how the place you are born is reflected in your wants and needs. Having the ability to see your impact on individuals is a truly special experience that GSWW opens the doors to.

"it is our goal to spread female empowerment"
This is my very first year as a GSW ambassador. There are many things about this program that keep me motivated to stay passionate about our cause, but my personal favorite would have to be interacting with young women on a weekly basis and getting to understand their story and their background.
I am also heavily interested in photography, and this program allows me to photograph my favorite moments throughout our workshops, and the happiness that we are able to cultivate. Some key skills that I have learned include public speaking, and an increased level of leadership. At times, I am forced out of my comfort zone, and through becoming an ambassador I’ve learned to deal with situations that can be uncomfortable. This program means so much to me, but more importantly, it means so much to the young women that participate across the Bay Area and beyond. Along with me and my fellow ambassadors, it is our goal to spread female empowerment and happiness through our workshops.

Yes. Girls Soccer Worldwide™ follows the Alameda County COVID guidelines and will continue to adapt as new guidelines are released. We may revise our procedures at any time based on updated recommendations issued by public health agencies.

Our 10 month program allows for a full experience to fit within the busy schedule of a Female Student Athlete that coincides with the school year. Most workshops are planned for Sunday evenings to accommodate sports schedules.
Also, our program is centered around Girls empowering girls. It is a team effort and to gain the best results, our team is more impactful when everyone is present. Everyone holds a key piece to the overall success of each conversation and project.
To 'COMPLETE' our program attendance is key. However, we understand life happens and have guidelines in place that allow for unexpected situations to take place.
WHY IS A COMMITMENT REQUIRED?

We prefer to dive into conversation with a few then pack the room with many to ensure EVERY girl is seen and heard. This allows for the appropriate amount of time for conversation and attention during the entire experience so the benefits of our experience is gained.
WHY IS THERE LIMITED SEATING AND HOW MANY?

Our lead facilitator is Co-Founder, Pamela Jacobsen along with other professionals in the field of topic who have a passion for female leadership and athlete. We have partnered with our facilitators to ensure conversations are aligned with Girls Soccer Worldwide™ values and end goals.
Along with our workshop experience, ongoing mentorship with our GSW Co-Founder and Leadership Team is available to all Ambassadors.

International travel is NOT required to be participate in our Ambassador Leadership Program. It is an experience offered in addition to our local activities.
Many girls have the desire to travel because they have the passion to help young girls in underserved communities. Through our Grassroots Leadership Program, there are many ways to give back locally and make a difference without traveling out of the country.
Please note: International travel is open to Ambassadors only. Being a part of our Leadership Program is required to travel abroad and participate in our international programs. Travel is open to 15-18 year old Ambassadors.

There are several ways to raise money and we would love to help you get started. We suggest filling out an application and if accepted into our program we can help you come up with a plan. We are happy to help you create a script and materials to send to friends and family.

Most effective impact is a personal handwritten letter sharing your why, what you will gain, a little about the girls you will be helping through our Grassroots Leadership Program, and your passion for GSW!
It can also be a tax deduction for some gifting, however, that is a conversation for their tax expert.
